I mounted a 29" flat screen to the bulkhead to the right as you go down the stairs. I purchased a swivel mount. Drilled pilot holes and used SS lag bolts. The cable cord runs from the connection behind the old TV through a hole I drill in the upper cabinet where the coffee pot is. I ran a short extension cord from the coffee pot outlet for the TV power cord. The cords then run under the ceiling trim. I just pushed the cords between the wall and trim.

Keep in mind that they make TVs that use an external power supply (kind of like a laptop computer). These TVs run on 12V power from the adapter. This is what I bought for my 278 (a 22" TV) and that way I don't have to run the generator to watch TV while out on the water. I just purchased a plug that was the correct style and wired it into existing 12V power.
Do some looking around and you will find one that is setup this way if interested.

Good luck.

What was the manufacturer of the tv with the external power supply?

Insignia is the brand I used. Both my cabin TVs are this way, built in DVD as well.

I have a 32" insignia with built in dvd player for the cockpit. I wasn't eager to start drilling holes in the hardtop, so I built a suction cup mount that hangs down from the hardtop. Works great, I think I paid around $175.
