I recommend using a product like Salt-Away to flush the outdrive and engine. You can also use it on the rest of the boat and rinse well afterwards.

Amazingly, most boats are designed to be used in salt water!
You'll be fine, just rinse and flush the boat well after use - ensuring the thermostat opens.

Make sure you are using the right types of zincs for salt water. Just a thought............

True for a longer stay, but I wouldn't change them for a 1 week visit. No big deal.

Agreed. Even after being moored in salt my zincs are still at about 3/4 there; but I always start out with new each season.

As a trailer boater, my zincs last about 10 years.

lol...most years...I have between 3/4 and 1/2 left...but one year...that horseshoe one on the front of the drive....was GONE....so that's why I usually pull it out mid season and look things over, check the gear oil, etc. I am in a mooring field so there is no shore power but there are a couple of floating docks, maybe that year someone had bad electrical or something that's not to codes going on.....
