Hey all, glad to be here. Just got my 1996 200 Horizon dlx last year. Sure is nice to finally own a boat. Very happy with my Four Winns. I have some plans for her as well as some repairs. Looking forward to it. Thank you! :D :D :D :D :D :D 8) 8) 8) 8)

I towed her all the way from Ludlow, Massachusetts to San Jose, California

Plans/repairs/upgrades with how to information after completion:
-Repaired out hull after collision damage
-Repair spongy floor board between driver and co-pilot seat
-installation of stereo, sub and speakers
-speaker hole cutting and possibly installation on rear deck
-Fixing the "I dont feel like starting right now issue" (think slave solenoid)

Lots to come!

Welcome to the Forum.

The H200 is a great boat. Much more roomy than the H180, but still very easy to trailer and launch.

I think in your year, there was an option between a fiberglass floor vs wood floor with glue in carpet. Since you have a soft floorboard, I assume you have the glue in carpet. These cause problems because the carpet holds water and rots the wood through any penetration of the thin resin coating (a screw hole, a crack, etc). When you do that repair, you should strongly consider getting rid of the carpeting as LouC did, and Jdpber is currently doing: http://www.smwebhead.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11136

Yep boat looks good. I for sure would get rid of the carpet if you're doing a deck repair. There are different ways to finish it with different coatings being available. Its a nasty job to get rid of that carpet glue but if you want to keep the boat a long time, its worth it. Also when you reinstall the seats, make sure to caulk the holes for the screws with a good marine sealer like Life Seal or 3M 4200. In the dry climate of So Cal you should have less problems with rot. Rain water does more damage to boats with wood cores, than anything else.

HI!! I'm new here as well. Still trying to figure out to post a pic of our 238 Vista. Looks like a great boat for summer fun!
