I just recently replaced the control box in our Vista with a new Universal Ergo Design from Teleflex and it works great. Smoother than the old OMC control and most importantly, it's current and you can service it if necessary. I cut a rather large hole in the side of the cockpit for access then installed a nice sealing hatch for later use as a glove box of sorts. This is directly above the aft cabin and its celing is right at the floor of the cockpit sole. Once you put a stop near the rear of this "new" compartment you can use it to store many larger necessary items. I used the original control's hole as a starting point but found that the spacer block on the back had to be removed for the Teleflex control to work and then the upper contour piece on the side bolster panel had to come off and get re-contoured to clear the teleflex bezel. I'm very new to this forum but will try to attach some pics of what I did.
