Hi all - I have a new to me 07 318 - Before I splash this year I gotta get a few things figured out..

How do you guys organize your cockpit for jackets/lines/fenders? I have a grill that will take up most of the transom compartment which leaves me with the port lounge and the strbd rear.. I think the wifes booze will be going in the compartment next to the cockpit fridge so that is out of the question lol

Any other modifications or 'must haves' that you have seen/done so far?

Thanks!

Congrats and welcome. We store our grill inside a duffle bag and lines in the swim platform locker and all the jackets in the under seat storage. Fenders are stored in baskets on the front rails.

As far as must haves, we have replaced most of our bulbs with LED to reduce current draw. If you have DTS, do you have any smart craft gauges? We upgraded our tachs to Smart Craft for a better view of the ship systems.

Where will you be boating? I would recommend a current NAV chip for your C80 or E80. IMO, it is very useful.

Happy Boating. You will love the 318.

First off - great boat. We've had ours almost 4 years which is a record for us. Heck that's longer than I've kept any car too!

Life jackets we keep in the portside lounger, plenty of room in there. Lines go in the rear compartment, on the shelf midway up. I keep two fenders in the stern seating area, starboard compartment. We honestly don't use more than two with the way we boat so I took the others off the boat and keep them at home.

In the little compartment next to the cockpit fridge/trash can is odds and ends, cleaning products. I like to run a tight ship. You'll enjoy the boat and like JNizi said, the SmartCraft gauges are a great upgrade!

Tell me more about the SmartCraft gauges - do you have a part number or link to a picture and description?
