Hi all
the boat I have just purchased is getting a new name..
The old owner had it in big letters both sides on the bow (it was only one 4 letter word) , but my new name is three words and that will be way too much to go there.
There is not enough room in the back opening compartment on the stern (I will put the SSR number there)
Have any of you used across the back of the swim platform for the name? is that a good location, or does anyone have a better idea..

My name is Three words long , so needs a fair bit of space !

thanks

When I purchased by 248, the name was on the starboard side, it was a small 10-12inch round name, logo.

When I renamed her, I put it on the rear exterior storage door, where I keep my secondary anchor (box). I dont have a pic currently to provide. I have seen others who have rubbed off the Four Winns logo on the rear swim platform, but eh, dont think that would look as nice.

Hope this helped,

Sadly there is no way it will fit at a decent size on the rear exterior storage door ...
name is "That's my Goal "

would have to be very small !

JeffLW fit his name on no problem.

Yours' will fit also. You do not need 18" tall characters. Make them sized to fit and quit worrying about it.

Lol thanks for your reply...mine is 13 letters/spaces as opposed to that one which is 6
It would end up tiny! The same number of characters as the place name below it ....
Not ideal in my view....but thanks again !

I just bought a 2000 248 last season and was having the same problem. I was considering putting on the back of the seat, just not sure if the letters would stay.

I made a cardboard template of the rear door with the hinge and latch locations and took this in to a sign company. Asked them to make it as large as possible and still fit in between everything.
You could possibly have it extend another 3 inches on either side of the door. Just have to deal with the seams then. I good sign company may be able to come up with some ideas to fit in on there.
IMHO the names on the sides don't look that great.

Something like this could work. The flag is just so it does not look so off-center.

No problem, and I just realized you are from Spain, not the US, so just pretend that is Spain's flag
