So I decided since I was not going to the lake anytime soon...I'd just go ahead and winterize. Not always necessary here in Vegas, but we do get so overnight freezes occasionally.

As I was draining the fresh water tank I noticed the galley sink was not draining I put a snake in but can't seem to get it all the way through. I would think that it's just the hose from the drain to the through-hull, am I wrong? I did get a bunch of gunk to come out which I can only assume is because with buying a new house this year we didn't get out much and the boat just sat..in fact we didn't use the water tank once so the sink never got used. It still seems a bit clogged, any thoughts? Is there something inside that I could destroy by forcing the snake through?

TIA,

Mine is a short hose that goes straight from the bottom of the sink to the hull side fitting.
You might try snaking from the thru hull fitting back up to the sink.
My concern would be if you push too hard and the blockage is right at the hull fitting, you could break that fitting.

I have tried the snake both from the inside and the out...something is stuck in there.

I had the same problem 2 years ago, after using the Zip it tool, it still seemed a bit clogged. I then used my air compressor and blew air through the line, and out popped the remnants of a tiny hornets nest.
If you try this don't set the air over 40 psi or you can break the drain line.

I had the same problem. Remove the drawers below the sink. On mine the hose was made into a loop for a trap. Well the loop was too tight and the hose kinked. A quick trip to the store to replace the hose fixed it.

thanks but I can see the hose with the door beside the fridge open, see no problems with kink.
