Has anyone done anything about the Cabin door banging while it has the stop engaged? We spend allot of time at a sand bar and when waves come in the door bangs from the fully closed position to the track stop (it had about an inch to 2 inch gap between the two). It gets very annoying. I was thinking of adding something to stop it from slamming, but wondered if it had already been done.

I was thinking maybe a cloth strap with snaps.

Bill,

2 choices that I know of.
1) Measure and cut a piece of dowl rod to lay in the track and dont use the stop
2) stick one of your key chain floaty's in there, they fit perfectly.

I have the screen door and main door on my 318 and I use option 2, works well

I cut a chunk off a noodle float and wedge it in there. Works great.

Bill, Dumb question.

Do you cut it to fill between the door and stop or the whole opening?

I've tried all three ways. Wedged between the door and the seat, between the door and the liftable flap and the whole width. Noodles were cheap that week at the grocery store. The small chunk between the door and the flap handles most situations. I sliced one lengthwise to span the door gap and that worked too. Wedged against the door and the frame (port side, the frame being the 'underside' of the lounger) worked least effectively as it didn't stop the screen from moving. I've also tried a bungie cord from the frame to the stairway handrail but that wasn't very good as the frame didn't offer enough of a grab surface. I considered putting some sort of eyelet there but then struck upon the noodle idea.

What works the best is, frankly, just to close the door.

I was thinking about adding a strap with snaps that would hook around both, but the noodle idea is less permanent.

Similar question. Anyone know a good way to keep the shower door to stay open and latched? Ours consistently wont stay open when under way. I have tried adjusting the little balls and pin to know avail.

For the Shower door I always put it in the position like you were using the shower and lock it. This way it doesn't slap around when under way in rough conditions. When I get to my destination I open so guests don't have to mess with it.
