Whoever you hired did a real nice job on the paint. Looks nice.

A lot of my neighbors do this themselves, but I can't bring myself to deal with the scraping and sanding (toxic), I do enough nasty jobs with the boat as it is. I will do the drive though this year because the boatyards in my expereince don't do a good job.

If you boat in salt - it's well worth it.

Or - if you have a drive that needs a repaint anyway - sometimes doing a bottom paint might be easier or just as good.

My general feeling towards doing bottom paint is that for at least the first application - let the pro's do it. Longer term, it'll depend on 1) how much $ do I want to spend 2) How much time do I have 3) is it touch up or a full repaint.

CC - a guy that was at our old marina used a white paint. You could not tell it was on there unless you were right up on it. Did you look into that at all?

Jeez Cougar, the last time I checked in you were running a 240. And what a sweet 240 it was too. Now you're tinkering with a 318. Hmph, I wouldn't mind your heartaches . . .
