Thought I'd share some of the projects I worked on this spring.

The first is a before shot of a jet ski trailer I picked up for my RIB.

Image

Here it is finished (new paint, led lights, tires/rims, hardware, etc.), and of course the RIB.

I have to take pictures of the various boat projects I've completed and will update this when I can (I've added nighttime pics of my swim platform lights to 'su2skelsey's post on that subject).

Updates:

Here's another of the platform lights at night:

Dash cover (kudos to the mother-in-law):

New gauges (last year):

Spare prop storage:

Extra 12v socket for satellite radio:

Shelf added to storage area:

Upgrade to 19" LCD/DVD combo:

Very nice! Don't you just love doing upgrades to make the boat better for your use?

Did you move your batteries to the starboard side of your engine comp? Mine are on the port along with everything else. It makes the boat list when at the dock. Funny thing, I have just started planning a shelf for the cubby an have a flatscreen in the same spot. Great minds think alike.

Teker,

No, my batteries have always been installed on the starboard side as shown. I'm not the original owner but I assumed it came from the factory like this. I've got additional storage space beside the hot water heater on the port side...it's just a pain to get at it (no frequently used items stored down there). No issue with listing.

I have owned 2 258's a '94 and the 99 I have now. Those and all the other 258's I have saw have the batteries on the port side along with the water heater, AC and the galley which puts all the weight on the port and cause's it to list. Did know a guy who moved his to starboard to avoid the listing.

Ordered them from Ebay from a store called virtualvillage. They are flexible waterproof strips, available in various lengths and colors. Here's a link:

Nice mods!

My mother-in-law keeps trying to make one of those dash covers to suit my head - but with a drawstring in it so it does up nice and tight...!
