I'll fess up. I took this picture of a 268 at Elk Rapids in 2007 and thought it was the best color scheme yet, next to mine of course. What a great choice.

What a beautiful marina, that was the previous home of my 298. The water clarity up there is like nothing I've seen North of the Bahamas. Any chance you got a shot a bit further down that wall? My boat was in the 2nd slip from the end near the top of your pic and I'm curious if the previous owner ever went through with his upgrade plans. You can see it in the last spot in my signature.

Congrats. So you still have some issues from the lengthy punch list , that you have to fix yourself?

How are you getting the boat home to Indiana ? Renting/Borrowing a 3/4ton? or having it hauled by a transport service? Trailer brakes fixed?

That marina, Elk Rapids, is my dad's home marina and summer home as he lives on the boat. Still my favorite marina I have encountered on the Great Lakes so far. I just wish the season was longer up there. Water really never gets that warm, but beautiful.

I'd rather fix most of the small issues myself than have it tied up at a dealer/marina for weeks before they get done. By small things I mean missing snaps, replacing carpet in the cockpit, adjusting cabinet doors. All very simple stuff, that I got the price adjusted for...

Boat is being transported by the same company that brought Cincy his 290.
