Hey Guys,

I need to add some fluid to my trim tabs. I've found the fill cap but the hole is very small and I can't seem to get a funnel small enough.

Is there a trick to this?

Boat is a 2000 248 Vista.

Thanks,

Not sure on the trim tabs as I have not added any fluid to this point. However, I have a home-grown tool that I think would work for you ... and it's nice to have for other jobs, like flushing out your A/C condensate line (bleach).

Pick up a horse syringe (big needle) from a ranch/farm/pet supply store. If you don't have one of these places near you, you can go to the grocery store and pickup a "Tony Chachere Injector Kit" ... or some other brand. (This is for injecting turkey, chicken, etc. It comes with a syringe).

This will likely be enough to accomplish what you want. However, to make this a good tool for other hard to reach tasks, pickup some 1/8, 3/16 or 1/4 inch clear flexible tubing to slip over the needle. You can get into some mighty tight places to flush and fill.
