Anyone have the usable area measurements for the swim platform door minus latches, for the 2007 318 vista? We want to put a graphic there, as you go into the upper cabin.
Thanks!

I won't be back out to the boat until later in the week, but since I've used that door enough times, I'd say 18 X 18 is not out of the question.

SW Florida Dave may be able to answer sooner than me.

I would say that the measurement sounds about right, but I won't be able to measure mine for a few days. It was hauled a week ago for annual service and they found a leaking heat exchanger on the port engine that they had to order. I also had a trim indicator that bounced on the port engine so they had to order that also.I am not sure if I will see it before the weekend but hope it is back.

We just got ours in June but have been on her every weekend except two since then and we just love her. 18 by 18 rings true for me too. I should ask my dog Boondocks. Luckily I somehow trained him on this boat that if that doort was shut, he stays on the side he is. He is half Lab, half Australian Sheppard so can easily jump over the back seat to get in and out, but he will just stare at that door and wait for it to open! He fishes from the dock, his raft, our swim platform and the wierdest thing- he'll hang on the swim tabs or prop covers under the platform and fish for hours on a calm day. Gets a little hairy when we cove and a big wake catches him under there! When we pulled it out last Tuesday, the detailer showed me a long claw mark in the "hair" between the two props, so needless to say we try to avoid that situation!
Thanks for the help!

I wouldn't go much better than 16 wide by 24 high.

I checked the measurements and that's what will keep you out of trouble with the hinges.

Looking at the door and standing back - 14 wide by 18 high would look quite nice all centered up.
