Well I ordered and paid for 12 of these, then after some thought cancelled and got refunded. I started thinking, haven't a lot of the "cheap" stuff from China been not so great. Lead Paint, toys, etc. Not sure I want some cheap Chinese bulbs in my boat. These same bulbs over at http://www.superbrightleds.com are 14.99 each, and they come from the USA.

I'd hate to put these in and they malfunction and damage my boat.

Just now a thread started on ClubSeaRay, a member had some of those in his boad and also in undercabinet lighting in his house. He smelled a burning smell last night, and then this in the morning.

Thanks for the info I'll keep an eye on them. I haven't had any problems with mine, it may be a different manufacture or a bad batch, it happens even with the best manufactures.

You get what you pay for. If I was going to replace cabin bulbs, I would only by IMTRA.
Made in Germany, simply the best you can get. Not $2.99 each, but safety and piece of mind is priceless IMO. IMT-ILSPG4-10W

But, if you have a TON of patience, and have the reflector type halogen bulbs, you can make your own LED bulbs. Looks like more work than I would want to do. :)

I went to there site, I just dont see anywhere "LED lights, made in USA"

I bet they are from china! as just about everything you and I buy nowadays.

If it makes you feel better, I can ship some from my house to you and I can mark the price up a ton!!!

I have installed some LED strips last year, bought I believe from Ozume.com, company here in the states reselling china LEDs.
Just something to think about.
