I, too, have replaced one too many Xintex sender/indicator pairs (each one has been a different technology) and, finally, the last indicator went dark; I've had it. I'm building my own external capacitive sender and indicator. I just got done doing a few experiments with a bucket (http://www.zbasic.net/forum/viewtopic.p ... pc_t=79540) and laid out a simple circuit board for the sender which I'll build over the next few days.

I've made real progress. http://www.zbasic.net/forum/viewtopic.p ... ight=#8697

While I haven't yet done a test on either of the tanks in my '99V, I've determined that capacitive measurement is pretty easy and accurate, at least in a five-gallon bucket - if you are an electronic experimenter.

I suspect I'll ultimately be able to reduce the project to fit inside a Xintex 2" case, but I think I'd rather have the fresh water level displayed near the galley. Now that I think about it, though, there's no reason why it couldn't be displayed at two positions, galley and head.

Are there any other electronic builders here?

So "318boating", do you have any update on this problem with your level indicators?

Is Snake River still making/selling tank monitor systems? I put this on our boat and have had zero problems for the last 6 years.... waste and water tied into the factory wiring harness.
