Yes , you just unplug the old one and plug in the new one . I did have to trim on it a little bit to get it to fit the way I wanted .

I just went through with my 99 Vista 258. We checked everything. One mechanic says the oil is to thin, so pumped out the oil put in heavier oil, the they said it could be the gauges, then they said it was probably the oil pump, the they said the filter was clogged with filings the shit when on and on they a dock mate of mine who's so happens to be a electronics engineer said in passing i bet its the sending unit guess what it was and 50 bucks later problem solved. Hope this saves you the grief I went through
