There's no danger in having a drain plug light! I've had mine on now since the beginning of summer and I sleep very well at nite.
My lake is cloudy but the light illuminates the area around my outboard just fine. I'm very happy with this product and would gladly do it again on another boat. I'm also glad I didn't have to drill through the hull, and if I sell the boat I can transfer the light to the new one with ease.
IMO many more pros than cons.
sachem29--Do you have this light on a switch or do you just hook it to the battery when you want it on? Just curious. I like how simple this is. Thanks.
