As was mentioned, some insurance, and a lot of lenders, will require a survey. For me, it was a no brainer, $800 is a small price to pay for what things could cost you to fix, however, it is by no means a guarantee that you will be problem free. For me, a good survey, and the dealers warranty offer, would make me feel pretty good about things probably..

Yes Ive actually found a friend of a friend who is a surveyor who will look it over for me without breaking the bank , so hopefully all will be well :-)

Pull the cup holders in couch seat behind helm look inside. My plywood rotted. Make sure bilge float works.
