If you can get to the cover that lets you access the gas gauge sender, and other fuel lines you might be able to disconnect the vent line (mine is that the front of the tank, the rest are at the rear) and blow through it to make sure its clear. I have heard that sometimes wasps build nests in the fitting on the side of the boat that can cause them to clog. You might have the big access panel that you remove and that lets you get at all the hoses etc....

Thanks Lou, I replaced these last year so I would think I could just screw off the cap and blow through it. If not I could pull the hose from the through hull..

That would blow the crud into your gas tank. Also, don't suck it out with a vacuum cleaner...unless your vacuum is rated for flammable vapors (such as a vacuum venture powered by compressed air, or a vacuum squeeze ball)
