Well - delivery part deux went very well. The engine went in without incident and we spent two hours on Lake Erie today during a small craft advisory.

It was a little lumpy but the boat ran beautifully and handled the snotty Lake Erie chop with panache.
I've got to give Skipper Buds a lot of credit for the way they've handled this. Both Volvo and Skipper Buds have done everything in their power to make it right.
Everything went very well up until the docking lesson. That ... not so well. This boat handles A LOT different than my 280 Sundancer with twin I/Os - and of course its a lot bigger. The marina was meant for boats 30' and under so it is very tight, it was windy and the most of the canvas was up. I was sweating bullets and felt like Richard Dreyfuss in Jaws when he says "I got no spit" ...

The electronic throttle controls are VERY sensitive and there is very little difference (in physical position) between F-N-R. I really struggled getting the feel for the shifters around the dock.
So, we'll have a great season so long as I never leave the slip. Actually, I can more or less run it, just can't dock it.
I'm sure I'll get on to it but all in all, a very successful day.
