The stage is set!

I scored a covered slip on Lake Union for a fantastic price! Lease starts on the 15th.

Next week, Ed (owner of Winnisquam Marine) and one of their top tech's are flying out to Seattle to run through the boat and get any kinks worked out!

Boat should be wet by next Friday -- the 16th.

Looks to have a break in the weather around here as well. We'll see as we get closer!

Talk about great service from coast to coast!

FINALLY! PICTURES!

The boat is unwrapped... It's seen it's first cleaning -- and we are tentatively launching on Jan 15.

Here are some pictures of the boat. It's in a work bay, so I couldn't get any wide angle pictures quite yet.

THe fold down arch is definitely nifty. This boat has lots of flavors from the 09 build (the TV on the wall rather than a cabinet) is a prime example. THe coffee maker, the sub placement in the cockpit... and of course the EVC engines. All of those were new for 09 but actually put in my 08 - which is AWESOME!

Here the side of the boat with the arch down:

A side shot. This boat is bigger than it looks. WOW.

Cockpit seating layout:
Image

The helm. Each engine has a multi-function EVC Tach/display combo. Then there is a fuel guage for each tank, and another guage for warning/error conditions with the engines.

The goodness of 300horses X 2:

Inside the cabin:

Who doesn't love buttons? How often will I have to mess with this stuff? WOW.

Cougar, It looks great. I am looking forward to your updates.

Boating is a long way away here. We just got 6 inches of snow and it is still snowing.

Take care Bill

Looks most excellent, Cougar! Glad to see it has the stainless steel windshield header - it's a really nice detail. Be sure to hang onto the padded arch rest for future use.

Looks awesome Cougar!!

About the arch....
is it fiberglass?
When it is in the down position, what does it rest on?
Is it a 1 person jobe to raise it? First pics I have seen of one down.

I think I like the TV thier better that the cabinet door... Do I see 2 radio heads in the electrical cabinet?

Gonna be hard to concentrate at work for the next few days.... keep up posted.....

Looks great Cougar;
What color fabric did you go with in the cabin? Did you also get the mid-cabin TV/DVD? The salon TV location works very well but I have noticed a couple things. The snap strap that holds it against the wall does not hold well in rough seas also the bracket shifts in a good bounce. Do you know if they hooked the DVD to the cabin stero?
Keep the picturea coming.

The fabric in the cabin is the black accents from 2008 (since it is a 2008 boat).

No mid-cabin DVD - which was fine for us as I don't think we would ever use it. We have the cockpit LCD on the outside - so that's a great treat!

I haven't had a chance to evaluate the audio/video in full yet - so I can't say much on the DVD being hooked into the system. I did see that TV mount is fantastic, but thought the hold down strap was a bit hokey. I'll definitely keep an eye on it.

I keep noticing random things... like the colored piping on the cockpit interior is a dark blue - even though I have a black stripe and top and black interior cover. Not sure if that was a mistake - or if all the boats have blue. On our 240 - we had classic black color band and we had black piping. Not a deal breaker, but kind of a head scratcher.

the boat is really amazing! We are so stoked to get this thing wet. Seattle has had the craziest weather for the last month, and this week looks to be very calm, sunny, and mild. It's perfect for a launch! We're shooting for Thursday as along as everything goes well! A couple of guys from Winnisquam (New Hampshire) are flying in Wed afternoon/evening.

Cougar, I have a few high res pics from the boat show last year and as far as I can tell the white/black ccb had black piping. This is assuming you mean the stripe in between the upper and lower backrests on the u-shaped seat.

I'll field this one since it was missed. The arch is fiberglass. When the boat ships the arch rests on a carpeted wooden support stand. It really is a two person job to raise the arch as someone needs to hold it in place (it's not light) while another tightens the bolts at the base of the arch on each side. While it certainly could be lowered and raised for navigating under low clearance situations, it is ideally designed for road transport.

Yeah - I missed that one.

The arch is on a giant stainless hinge and the wires are all wrapped and in a loom. It's a nifty setup.

The bolts that hold that arch are not little by any means -- I'm thinking 3/4'' bolts.

The carpeted support is definitely a keeper though. You never know when we'll have to transport a boat again.

The arch is definitely not quick release nor meant to be dropped every time you drop under a bridge. And I wouldn't want to have to do that every time I go to the lake and back - but you could I suppose.
