FWIW, I'm still inflating the dink as I did on the 248.. The only difference is that now I have a transom hatch with plenty of room for an outboard. I couldn't be bothered with having one hanging on the back of the boat like a parachute! I bet I can inflate mine as quick or quicker then getting it up on davits and strapping it all down. When I get back I drop it in the dock box; out of sight and out of the elements.
