Thanks walt,

I noticed they are just DC. The ones on the top of my post are AC/DC.
Any advantage to AC/DC bulbs ? No issue with DC bulbs on shore power ?

I wonder if the 90 degree, or 120 degree bulbs cast more light in general?

Assuming your cockpit lighting is the same as mine (99% sure it is) you should be ok with the DC only since this stuff runs off of the batteries.

I would think so but these little guys really light up at night. When i installed them originally there was still about an hours worth of sunlight and i had the original halogen bulb on the lounge seating, a white LED in the cooler recess, and a blue LED in the helm and was a bit dissapointed to see the halogen appear to be brighter. However at night the blue really lit up when the sun set and I'm really happy with the result.

We put the 2nd type bulb in. We went with the blue it is very bright. Almost to bright not sure if we like it or not yet. We are going to try it for a while and see if we get use to it.

Thanks Guys. They are on order.

There is not one boat in our marina with ANY type of LED lights on it, I guess we
will be the first, but I'm sure there will be some more boats with them soon.

I went with the wifes' favorite.....blue. It would be great if they make it here by this weekend, but I'm not counting on it.

Actually they are pretty quick. Wouldn't be surprised if you got them Friday. And it is literally a 10 min job at most. Good Luck!
