The thought of removing my 248 from the trailer and cribbing it on my own? Frightens me! It's just not something I would ever try myself! Of course I am also the guy that takes an hour to jack up a car to do a 10 minute job... I'm so paranoid when it comes to lifting stuff

You have that nice level solid concrete pad! I would not hesitate to take your boat off the trailer in that location!
I still didn't get the boat off the trailer yesterday. I decided that i am going to pull the motor out first before I put it up on the blocks and I need it on the trailer so I can back it under the tree we use to attach the chainfall. If I take the outdrive and motor out this Fall I will have the winter to try and figure out if the motor is salvageable or should just be replaced.
I am also having a hard time deciding where to put the boat in my yard. Where I initially wanted to put it will interfere with snowplowing/blowing and my second location may be unappropriate because I won't be able to pull the trailer straight out! If I park it pendicular to this second location it may just work! This would be alot easier with a hydraullic trailer (as was suggested above) and I may just do it this way so I can tuck it in nicely and not have to worry about the winter interferences.
