If your charger does not work on shore power, it will not work on the generator. You said you are using a trickle charger looks like you found a big clue to the problem. Bad charger or could still be the output breakers.

As for locating breakers, the input breaker for the charger is on you main cabin panel. Your charger output breakers are usually somewhere else, mine are on the same panel as the battery switches. They are the pop-out type not the switch type.

Finally it can't be the slide switches, because if they are set wrong nothing would run off the generator.

The shore power charger does not work so this must be the answer. I thought that perhaps the gen charged the batteries some other way (like how the engines charge them via the alternators). Time to write a check and get it fixed or just keep the trickle charger hooked up while on the hook and under generator power. Thanks.

Just buy a new charger and swap it out with the old one. They are not expensive at all.

How long have you had this boat without a functional charger and trickle charger hooked up ??
Just a couple of weeks ??
