Just to keep this thread from completly dying, some on the water shots of the V275, shot again on Lake Cadillac in November 2011.
I never understood why you have to go to Russian and Polish websites to see the new US made boats before the same pictures are even available on the manufacturers website. It is what it is, I guess.

It is completley opposite of what I liked about the style of our current boat.

Who knows, maybe it will grow on me.

I agree with you 100%, I don't like the "built from a logo kit" look at all and love the flowing lines of our express cruisers. Perhaps I'm just old school, but I'm not feeling this boat at all. It won't grow on me I'm sure, and all I can say is it looks better than the 305 which in IMO is hideous! Just my 0.02 cents.....

The V275 that was at the Miami Boat show in February.

I will have to admit, that the light colored laminate that is used for the cabin interior, looks a whole lot like what Bayliner uses in their new 285. (below)

I really hate to say it, being a LONG time Bayliner hater (and they're made 10mi away)...

I REALLY like that interior layout.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but has anyone seen or heard anymore about this boat? Four Winns web site shows the V285 as still being built for 2012, but there is only one generic picture of the 275 :?

I would trade my 220SS for something like that in a heartbeat, it's beautiful I am going to look at the older designs and price ranges I am in love with that style now, I am definitely going to be in the market for something similar WOW!!! it's seems a shame I didn't do my homework better on first boat purchase but that seems to be a beautiful style of boat.

"Frenchy" takes you through a walk around of the V275, for your viewing (and listening) pleasure...

Not a fan of the "Sea Ray" style port side access and layout of the mid cabin. That was one of the reasons we never did consider a Sea Ray 280 DA, 260DA etc. and why we bought a 268 Vista. Much better access to the mid berth in the 268.

+1. Sounds like we went through the same shopping process. The ceiling height in the head of the 260 sundancer was too low, and I caught my pants belt loop on the way into the mid berth on the 280 sundancer. The mid cabin entry was one on the things that made Four Winns stand apart from the other sub 30ft boats. It seems like they threw the baby out with the bath water when they brought in this new designer.

The mid cabin entry looks a little wider on this boat than others I've been on. I think this boat looks great on the outside with the arch added, but like others have said the wood in the cabin leaves a lot to be desired. VERY cheap looking. :?

Sorry to keep reviving this thread but it looks like they realized how crappy their cabinets looked and went with a considerably more attractive cherry wood for their cabinets. This boat is really starting to grow on me and I sent an information request to Four Winns last night, so we'll see what they send. Not ready to upgrade for at least a year but the V275 is quickly moving up the list

Curious as to why ? It's really not much bigger/different than your 268 Vista, aside from the added beam, and
newer styling. If you can see one at a boat show this fall , please do and pay particular attention to the type of
fabric and vinyl used in these new boats.

For those reasons you stated. I've really been interested in the 2007+ 278 for a while simply because of the updated helm and different fabric..it would also be a good time to get one with a genset. I think the added beam of the V275 would be really nice...but honestly I'm probably just day dreaming here because at the end of the day I'm still pretty stingy with my $$ and would probably have trouble justifying the upgrade to a V275. I really have no desire to go much bigger because I feel like we would lose out on trailering aspect. The 268 has worked very well for us, and as you well know being able to change your boating scenery whenever you want is a great option to have.

I'm curious about the fabric and vinyl in the new boats....good? bad?

Everytime I see the new 285 bayliner's interior I just get blown away. The 275 Vista just doesn't compare in terms of design. The Vista might be overall better built, but I can't justify spending 40k more for a FW to get an overrated cuddy cabin that you need to convert to a table or bed. It's the same stupid design that's been around for 40 years. The bayliner comes ready to rock and roll... dining table and nice forward berth. No transforming. It's styled very much like a sail boat interior.

If I had 100k laying around in the market for a cruiser I'd buy the 285 in a heartbeat.

I agree. The 285 layout is by far one of the best layouts for a sub 30ft single engine design. We were on one at the Chicago boat show, but had trouble appreciating the great layout because of the TERRIBLE build quality and cheap materials. I not just saying that because it's a Bayliner. It felt so cheap I wanted to take a shower afterwards

Oh I know. Just looking at the pictures my skin is crawling. All the seams are uneven, wrinkles in the vinyl, heck it looks dirty. That's too bad I think the layout is the best thing since sliced bread. I wish four winns would adopt this, the standard v-birth layout sucks.
