Thanks Jeff. I already blocked that off because rain water would run into that channel, roll forward and drain in through the screw holes for the rear portion of the hatch. Pathetic design. I blocked it with two pieces of pressure treated plywood and 5200. Solved that design flaw.

Makes me think your transom seal may be bad. Check the nuts on the transom bracket, are they loose? If you keep your boat in a slip, tie securely, put the boat in reverse and watch for water to come in. If you trailer, add water to the bilge and watch for it to leak on the outside around the transom bracket.

I've had two FW and both had problems with the transom seals. Dan

Thanks Dan. I am hauling tomorrow for a new starter and outdrive work. I'll try that before I do.
