I think Four Winns featured your new boat on their Facebook page over the weekend...I remember reading the post and thinking it must have been your V435. Very cool!

We usually anchor on the south side of the marina along the bank. Good place to escape the madness when it's all over, and the traffic has died down. Stop by and say Hi. I am in a 200 Horizon Light blue and gray, Should be maybe 7 folks on board.

As I read thru the posts I seen that you took delivery of it this week so I don't expect an answer right away. I know I'd be living on that beautiful new toy. But let me be the first to ask, how is it going? How is she handling , and it's probably too early to tell yet but are you happy with it? I cannot wait to get down there at the end of the week and kick back and enjoy some much needed R&R. Speaking of kicking back. Twin Cove has got kickback Fridays going on every Friday night down there, Usually have a live band and room to dance plus drinks and you can sit on the boat and bring your own. Fun times usually the band are pretty good. Just wanted to do some checking in with you to see how it is going.

We got the boat on Monday and had to come back Wednesday. We're heading down again tomorrow for a 10 day stay over the 4th.

The commissioning was fairly involved and started at 7 a.m. and finished up the same day at 8 p.m.! They moved the boat from the transport trailer to the launch trailer, filled with fuel, hauled to the launch ramp, removed the shrink wrap, installed the drives, cleaned and waxed the boat, updated software, calibrated drives and then splashed.

Overall the boat is off the chart fantastic! I cannot believe how much larger and nicer it is than our 328. We had 17 people on the boat Tuesday and it wasn't the least bit crowded. Love the IPS, the cockpit air, private state room, the TV in the cockpit, etc, etc. It's just great!

I wish there was more storage for the galley area... it's less than the very generous space on our 328. There are some 'normal' post delivery issues that need to be worked out such as the boat not having a cleat for the windlass. gelcoat touch up, some sewing that wasn't done properly on some canvas, etc. None of this is surprising and overall they are fairly minor.

I've got pics of the commissioning added to the photobucket library:

You win. Game over guys, time to go home.

Is it painted or gelcoat? Were you given an option to paint if not? I can't imagine hitting it with the orbital every few months if it's gelcoat!

Gelcoat with Interlux bottom paint... not aware of any production boat that's painted. Formula paints the color on their hull but everything else is gel.

I'm sure where the boat lives it's better than here. Florida is rough on gelcoat. I couldn't imagine waxing that every 2 months! Well, nevermind I wouldn't if I could afford that I'd pay someone to detail it monthly. Nevermind.

Otherwise yeah, it's easier to keep it shiny than bring it back from faded. Get some kind of routine together because you'll be wanting to buff it out every 1-2 months to keep it like that for years.

Not an ocean, but plenty of water..

Norris Lake extends 73 miles up the Clinch River and 56 miles up the Powell River. It has 750 miles of shoreline, and 50 miles of island shoreline giving a total of 800 miles of shoreline. The maximum width of the lake is 1.2 miles with a surface area of 34,200 acres.
