7k for a 40 footer seems really quite reasonable if that includes permits and such. When I was looking at quotes for shipping a 318 across country, 4-5k seemed like a very good deal. Considering they have to supply a trailer or flatbed... plus all the prep involved in transport... gas for a 20k cargo... permits... it all adds up'
