i drain my h2o heater and freshwater tank into the bottom of the boat after each use, and let it all drain out the plug, is this how they get waterlogged? is this a bad idea?

If you are referring to stringers, then what you describe would not be a problem. That said, unless you are going for multiple weeks between usage, then draining the system every time sounds like overkill. I would recommend leaving the engine hatch open afterwards until the bilge has thoroughly dried out.

Can anyone tell me how many volts your needle should read on the dash board when starting? For some reason mine only indicates 8-9 volts? That's about 1/4 of the gauge.

Will get my batteries tested tomorrow cause I can't get the engine to crank long enough to start I keep running out of juice.

Yup!!!! Needed two new batteries.

Took her out for a spin this morning and had a few unpleasant surprises. The trim indicator doesn't work, the engine seems to heat up at cruising speed 240 at 3000 rpm and oil gauge always reads 80 when cruising. Don't know about the oil Gage it could be normal but the others are definitely a problem.

As for the outboard trim indicator? Where is the sensor located could that be all crudded too?

I'm taking it in to the shop to have them look at the impeller and pump. The boat stayed in the water all season and it didn't really get used all that much could be bad rummer or just grimmed up.

Probably have the oils changed too the previous owner said he did no work on it for the past 2 seasons...................

Last bu not least ........... Could someone tell me where the rollers are supposed to end up when the boat is properly seated in the bunk? I tried passing the wire all different ways and I ended up with this position . It works but it breaks the roller and I have no way of undoing the hook now!!!!!!!! I'm going to guess I should pass the cable over the rollers and have the first roller right under the tow hook.

Let me know

I'm no expert but I think the winch line should pass between the rollers.

What do you guys use to unscrew the middle duoprop screw if you don't have the tool? 150$ is kind of steep for 1 tool

I guess you could cut some slots in a piece of pipe or conduit. I just went ahead and bought the tool. Its a boat. Everything is expensive. Its still cheaper than paying someone to change the drive oil for you.

Check on Ebay for a prop wrench. The bow eye goes between the rollers.

I had 2 pieces of steel made to extend the distance between the rollers. Makes it easier to get the bow eye in the middle. I'll try and post a picture of it
