Only think to be considerate of is warranty. If Doral goes out of business - what happens with warranty?

Cougar,

Same thing that happens when Crownline, Regal, Ebbtide go out of buisness (that's the rumor).

There is no guarentee with any manufacturer right now, but by law I am pretty sure they have to somehow honor warranties (what happens if GM goes under, the warranties do not suddenly stop).

Cap'n,

I was thinking it was the same boat at the Miami 08 show, they say this boat is brand new. I will find out for sure, I want to know if there are any hours on the boat. If there are hours on it, and this is the one that was run hard at the show, then I want more off! I wouldn't run away from the boat just because it had it's legs thoroughly stretched at a boat show, so long as it isn't scratched and banged up, but they will have to do much better on the price if that's the case.

I found another in NY with a Genset and a 496 Mag but it's blue (and I hate blue) sticker is 145K which dare I say is 45K too much! :) I think the boat is worth 100 if it's fully optioned, but Doral's MSRP prices for this boat are absolutely out of sight, considering it's a 26 footer not a 30! :)

I will keep you guys posted!

And yes this boat has a Kohler 5KWECD Gen

Hey Brett - I'm quickly becoming a master of the Kohler generator -- so let me know if you have any issues! ha ha

FWIW - my wife and I aren't huge fans of blue as a first choice - but it can grow on you!

Any calls on your 248 yet? What's it been? 24 hours? I figured you'd have it sold by now!

Brett, an old thread I started last year, with some pics of the boat on page 3. It sure looks alot like the one you posted.

Tractor is up on Ebay, reserve is 27K and I confirmed with my JD Dealer that is a very fair price. You won't get into an 09 with these options even close! :)

Cap'n,

Yes I saw that thread a long time ago (when the Venezia was released) and yes that sure does look like the same boat. Dolphin claims they had two. The salesman said this boat has not been used. I want confirmation of this, if it has been used then the price needs to come down some more, I think.

There were some interior pictures of the boat to look at anyway. More often than not, when a builder debuts a new boat at Miami, it sells. Like this year for example, Tiara debuted a new model, the 48 convertible at the Miami show last week, and it was sold and is on it's way to Puerto Rico as we speak.
So the boat you are looking at, may indeed be an unused 08'.

Glad to hear they sold a boat. I was there on Sunday and the dealer made it clear they had not sold anything up until that point. That 48 was very nice. They also had a 58 that was amazing!

Ask your buddies at Winni why FW discontinued the wide beam 278. I would be interested to hear what they say.

I had the '95 version with the T/225 OMC-Volvo half breed engines and it was a sleeper! Push it to the dash with minimal crew aboard and it was on top of the water right now. Same layout as my V298 but on a smaller scale. That's the main reason we moved up to the current boat. We loved the layout.

They actually had pre-sold the boat that was at the show, and took orders for two more that have to be built. They took some amazing video of the 48C out on Biscayne Bay, hopefully it will be up on their website soon.

Looks like the same boat that Cap'n posted on...

Brett -- you find anything out about the hours on that boat?

What's with the tiny Nav setup?

Cougar,

This was the response I got late tonight:

"No, this was not the boat at the Miami show this boat is on the west coast of Florida. I do know that our boat does have a few hours but not many but not many. I will have photos to you tomorrow and hours to you tomorrow. There will be no disappointments! Also I will check on the trailer brakes.

The A60 is a tiny plotter, though at this point I am kind of glad it's not a E80! I can upgrade to an E80 and a 2KW Raydome for less than the factory would charge for it, and could turn around and sell the A60 on ebay! :)

I am already thinking, PlasDeck on the swim platform and it needs a Solaire infrared BBQ grill! (there I go, counting my chickens before they hatch).
