My fluid tanks level monitor (fresh water and waste) always shows empty ( when pressing on the corresponding button on the level indicator dial ) ....so the green light next to E ( empty ) lights-up. Obviously filled both tanks almost full and no other reading than emptycomes-up. Would the senders require cleaning ? Or changing ?

Thx.

They never last. I would rather not have them than crack the seal on top of the tank. Mine broke when the boat was four years old and I just left them alone.

My fresh water works, but the holding tank always shows full. I periodically check it by shining a flashlight into it, pressed to the top. That will allow you to see the level in the tank. My 328 has 2 holding tanks connected together, so the higher tank (under the mid berth) wont show any fill until the keel tank is full.
If you really want the holding tank to work, you can try the electronic sensors that stick to the outside of the tank, avoiding the 'interference' of the holding tank contents that typically sticks the in-tank sensors. I was looking into this one: https://tankedge.com/products.html

I have installed the exterior ones on any customers boat who had complaints, and to date never had an issue with one.

Have you installed any outside sensors that work with the existing Fireboy-Xintex gauges like these? http://www.fireboy-xintex.com/liquid-level-monitors.htm
