I came across this unit http://www.cruisencomfortusa.com to install on my vista 278
it works on 12 volts, any suggestions or anyone has one of these or similar?

I am not an AC expert, but i see how hard my AC unit works here in the hot Florida sun with 90+ degree water. The unit almost never gets to within 1 to 2 degrees of temp that I like in the cabin at the dock on shore power. The effectiveness of a 12v system probably depends upon how much cooling you really need and the space inside the cabin. It might be a huge battery drain without alot of comfort.
