I am in the market for a 2007 318. I am trying to check on the different prices out there. I have been quoted at $149k. Boat comes with many options and the 5.7 composites. Is this about the going rate?

I know a guy that purchased a completely loaded 318 including a genny and a designer interior he paid 156,000 including 7% sales tax. If you want to know where call me at 1-330-540-9219 Joe.

Florida. I have also seen a 2006 318 for $130k loaded with Flexiteek throughout. I heard this gets very hot so I can imagine how bad it would be all over the deck. Couple dealers said the 06 has'nt moved because the stern drives are not composite. I guess the majority of people want to keep this size boat in the water and the non composite drives are not good for this.

I am from CT but intend on moving to Florida in 2-3yrs. I outfitted my boat based upon what is needed for Florida. I did my boat shopping in Florida but made my purchase here. I discovered the following things if you want to keep a boat in the water in Florida.

1. Flexteek looks horrible after a couple of years in the Florida sun.

2. Only get black or blue canvas. All the light colors look horrible after 1yr in the Florida sun.

3. Fresh water cooling is absolutely necessary unless you want to make major repairs every 3-4yrs.

4. Stainless steel around the windshield lasts longer and looks nicer.

5. Volvo composite drives and the Neutrasalt system are the best way to go. The salt water in Florida is saltier and warmer than up north and leads to faster corrosion.

I visited 4 different dealers( 1 Four Winns and 3 others) in Florida and spoke to a friend of mine that is a boat mechanic in Florida. They all agreed on these 5 things.

I hope this helps.
