I'm looking into getting a new trailer for my 248. Anyone know the carring capacity of thier trailer or what a 248 weighs full of fuel ready to go.

that boat is in the area on 6000lbs empty, so I wold get a trailer with an aluminum trailer with a load capacity of 8000lbs or total GVW of like around 9500lbs to 10000lbs

Mine isnt a 248, but to give some perspective- My 1993 245 when fully loaded for a multiple day trip weighed 8100 to 8300 lbs. That is with a full fridge, several coolers, full fuel, full water, 3 batteries, fishing gear etc. The original Four Winns trailer says 10000 lbs max.

Our FW trailer for our 2000 248 Vista has a Max Load of 8580 lbs.

It does have 2 5000 lbs axles, I assume that if you take 10k minus the weight of the trailer you get the stickered 8580.

But, I really dislike this FW trailer, hope you are looking to upgrade to a nicer trailer.... wish I could.
