When I drop the table on my 248 the table does not sit all the way down in the molded channel. Instead it is halfway up the side wall of the cavity on one side or the other. This causes it to squeak like hell when you move around on the bed. The only solution I can come up with is to have some wood removed around the edge of the table so it will sit all the way down in the pocket. Anyone else had this problem or have a better solution.

Tell her to get on top for a while, prob fixed...hehehe :P

I assume you have the high gloss cherry wood tabletop? If you don't have any woodworking tools I would mark where the edges rub on the table and take it to a cabinet shop and see if they can help you.

Make a new fill in. Trace the old on a sheet of plywood, cut it out, stain it and there you go. I did this on my 268, used cherry plywood. It matched the cabinets and also was our new v-berth table.

Fire's solution is good. On our 268 it came with a factory insert like Fire made, as well as the V-berth table. Never used the table as an insert.
But the table was used for more than it was intended. The admiral would shoot me if I let you know for what.
