Guys,

From your personal experience what is the main difference between 24' and 26' cruisers?

How does it feel? Better on the big lake?

Is it worth extra $$$ :)

Thank you.

The cockpit area on the 248 is identical in dimensions to the 268. You gain a foot more space in the cabin with the 268. I have not driven a 248, but I know the ride pretty good on Lake Michigan with our 268.
It just depends on what your use , and how many people you usually have on board if you need the extra space and storage.

I'm thinking that if it is too rough on Lake Michigan for a Vista 248, I won't be wanting to take out my Vista 268....

We looked at the V248 when we bought ours. I recall that the rear cabin was a bit shorter - maybe 6'2" rather than 6'4". The galley is a bit smaller, as well as the head, but collectively the differences are not as much as you would think.

Four Winns has done a very good job in packing a 25ft boat into the V248.

We have a 238. I have been on the great lakes 95% of the time with this boat. I think the bigger the boat, the better the ride will be. So will the amount of fuel used, cost of the boat, towing costs etc.

I see a lot more 268's than I do 248's. Both are nice boats. Not sure what I would do if I bought another one but I would be happy with eather of them. One option I wish I would have bought was the dual prop.

Hope this helps

I am on Lake MI in the Chicago area. I have taken my 248 up to Wisconsin and to Michigan. It handles great in everything but the roughest stuff...

I would recomend this boat to anyone looking for an affordable cruiser.
