Hi, My boat is store for winter, I can not reach it anymore until march. Easy one , what is the spark plug number installed by default on a Volvo GXI-E 5.7 2008? Thanks all |

P/N - 3858996 G 0.060" (1.52mm) Looks to be that, from what I see.. |

Platinum plugs of any sort.. they come pre-gapped |

The plug installed from the factory is an AC Delco 41-993 (platinum) or now it's been replaced with Ac Delco 41-101 (iridium) |

I would only put Delco plugs in. I put NGK's in my old boat and it ran like crap!!! |

The only price differences are from build materials which either make them last 1 year or 10 (copper standard vs. iridium). Saying your boat ran like crap with one brand vs. another using tier 1 brands is unfounded and incorrect. I have never seen an engine run "like crap" with one brand vs. another unless you had them gapped incorrectly creating misfires. NGK's typically come pre-gapped at a generic .030 since they do not OEM anything for Chevy. Some chevy applications require .060, so if you took the NGK's out of the box and didn't set the gap correctly yes they would run like crap. Delco plugs are OEM for chevy and typically come gapped correctly in the box, hence why they ran good. User error. |

Ok sorry. I used the NGK and gapped them and rechecked the gap several times and the boat ran like CRAP. Is that better? NGK's had a slight stutter in them at idle speed to the point where I had changed all plugs, wires, cap and rotor with NGK's still in and it still ran like CRAP! I put the Delco's in and checked gap and all my problems disappeared. |

aren't AC delco Marine plugs made to be less corosive? And BTW I would only use what came out factory or what is recommended by Manufacturer for any engine. I am sure you can find them for a reasonable price Throwing any oid plug in could give you issues |
