So if you have a v258 or know about them you will notice there are only 3 factory cup holders which seems like not enough. There are 2 cup holders next to the helm and one on the port side that pops out. I am thinking of adding possibly two on each side for sure on each side, port and starboard. My question is has anyone put flush mount ones in and where did you find a place? The only place that I see is behind the bimini top mounts but it has non-skid on the area that I was thinking. So, just bought this boat and not really sure if we will need this space later. Any suggestions? Or pics of what you have to solve this "cup holder issue". Thanks.

I have seen and I am planning to get at least one of those "place anywhere" armrest type cupholders you just place the whole thing on any seat.
kinda like this one:

Thats a great idea. I wonder if there is anything that holds it down? I check into it, Thanks!

I would not put them on the gunwales, you may need that full non skid area for getting in and out of the boats on higher docks.

You really are limited for areas to add cup holders on that year 258. I think cup holders in the
table were to be used for passengers sitting at the stern. You could add one of these type
to the starboard side bimini supports.

Or get a pontoon cupholder to set on the seat when needed.

I mounted a plastic fold-up style on the port side inside gunnell just below where the bimini top mounts......
I have the 238, so there is even a bit less room on mine than yours.....

You are right those are extremely high priced, not worth that kind of cash

I would think that a Bimini mounted cup holder might tend to shake up a carbonated drink when cruising
