Has anybody had to replace these ? Took it to my boat cover repair guy and he says he doesn't know how to remove them . The plastic tabs that hold the bands have a slot but a screwdriver doesn't seem to remove them . thanks |

Smash the old ones with a hammer...........they explode apart.............replace with these........http://www.sailrite.com/Shock-Cord-Cover-Clip-White |

I had two of mine break apart on their own. They just snap together. You should be able to pry the rear piece(with the "screwdriver slot") from the front piece. I got some replacements from a dealer just like the ones from http://www.sailrite.com/Shock-Cord-Cover-Clip-White These are much better than the originals. But the dealer wants $10 a piece for them.
