Post subject:  Electrical issue. No power at all! Main breaker or main fuse

Ok so was changing out my stereo in my '96 v258 and all of a sudden lost power to everything. I checked all wires to the stereo and checked all the fuses at the helm and the fuse panel in the bilge where the radio fuse is located but I cant seem to find like a main breaker or fuse. There is no power at all! Not even the shore power is working, nothing {only the light that says, "shore power" is ON} but still nothing happening. Please help!

Check to see if your hand hit the switch on top of your main shut off assuming it's the same as my 268

did you check all the breakers on the engine? I pop my breaker every so often on my 96 238 vista (not sure if yours is set up the same). I have three breakers on one side of the engine and a fourth on the other.

Work your way from the battery forward and you will find the problem. Use a volt meter and a set of small jumpers so you can keep the the black probe grounded the whole time you are testing.
