Well, I finally am all done with my sale and purchase! We went up to Michigan yesterday and brought her home. I will post some pictures up here very soon. We have some washing and waxing to do and then we can splash (assuming spring finally arrives). I am thinking it will be in the next two weeks and man are we anxious to get her on the water :D

Congrats! Sadly losing a Sundowner compatriot, but like most SD owners, Vistas are always in our future (looking at a 268 soon!)

Good choice! I fell in love with the 278 when I was shopping, but it was a little more than I needed. I'm officially jealous.

Can't wait to see pics.

Congrats, Hutch! It's a little more work to maintain an express cruiser, but you're going to love it!

Thanks, everyone! I am starting to see all of the things that will need to be maintained for sure. Of course, that was not on my mind when I was looking at all! Its going to be fun most of the time and challenging sometimes, but we are still very excited and pleased with our choice. I am very happy that we were able to find the right 278. I had originally wanted to go with the 248, but I am glad the folks on here convinced me to go larger. I did not like the stress of the buying and selling. It WAS fun to look for boats though.....

Thanks! It has the 5.7 GXi with the DP drive. Hoping this combo gives it enough power. We looked at a couple of boats with the 8.1 and really gave it some thought.

The guy that bought Fire's boat still has it on the market. It is a beautiful boat. I think he has it listed in the mid 40's, but you could always check with him.
