Has anyone else noticed how much water leaks into the transom locker on the 328 Vista's? I left a bucket in there and after a good rain, it had at least 3-4" of water in it! Since this locker drains directly into the bilge, I suspect this is likely why my bilge is never dry. Has anyone re-rerouted this to drain overboard? I'm thinking of adding a 'Y' into the scupper drain and having the locker drain into that. Are there any issues with this approach? If so I may just add another above water through hull.
Also, what have others done to stop the leaking? Maybe just adding weather stripping?

Weather, can't help you with this one. We are in a covered slip and we don't get rain on that part of the boat unless we are out in it. I see no problem with adding a y connection. Maybe you could use some weather seal from home depot to go around the transome door?

I cut two pieces of pressure treated plywood the shape of the channel and blocked it off, sealing it with 5200, right at the point where the water would move from the locker to the gutter system around the engine hatch. When the channel becomes full (a few cups of water), it simply drains onto the swim platform. Easiest solution.

Weather - Yes, I have noticed how much water can get into the transom locker.

I sometimes keep the boat's wash bucket in the transom locker and if I keep it toward the port side of the transom locker I notice I will sometimes find rain water in it.

I really try to use our boat every weekend and I always try to remember to manually turn both bilge pumps on while we get up on plane to make sure we get as much bilge water out of the boat as we can. Our AC condesate drain also goes to the engine bilge, so that for us is another point of water entry into bilge.

I do this too - this year I'd love to have a dry bilge, or at least try. I believe our AC condensate drains into the shower sump so we're lucky on that front.
