After cruising around in the Middle Channel and Old Channel, we anchored yesterday evening in Bouvier Bay (near Fair Haven; the locals call it Munchies in honor of a restaurant that is no more), watched a beautiful sunset and then watched the almost-full moon rise. Gorgeous! It don't get much better!
Back out today - same place - hung out - swimming - eating - having a good time. Only distraction was some idiota that didn't know how to anchor almost drifted into us - we had to push him off. Will these jackasses ever learn?
Who else had a good time this weekend?
You mean I can't anchor a 30' cruiser in a river with a 6lb mushroom anchor and 40' of 5/16th rope? (notice I didn't say Rode)
Yep there's nothing better than staying out, long after all the "Daylighters" have gone home! Unfortunatly I did not go out this weekend it's been thundering all day, and most of the day yesterday even though it's YET to rain....
Perhaps I will weekend next weekend
