I was wondering if the Vista 288 came with anyting to shade the bow hatches? The brochure does not mention anything for the 288 and below.

We were curious, because sleeping without anything covering it makes for an early wake up call.

Thanks in advance Bill

We also had this problem. We are used to sleeping in a real dark room. We had a cover made for the door but the hatch let in a lot of light. Our solutition was to get a disc of black (not smoked) plexiglas the same dia. as the hatch. Ours fit insde screen that came with the hatch and is held up by snaps. Easy to but on before bed. Chesney Plastic in Fl. is a good supplier.

Does the sundeck padding cover the hatches on the 288? It does the job on the 248.

I am not sure if the pad covers it. We ordered a 2008, but have not been able to see one yet. I don't have access to an older 288 either.

Maybe someone who owns one currently could coment.

Thanks Bill

Thanks Teker. I think if one does not come with it I will have an appolstry (pillow) piece made for the hatches. I saw one on a Sea Ray 290. We have a great canvas fabricator near us that I would ask to make this.

We still can't wait to see a 2008 in person.

Thanks Bill

Not on the '04 model. Doubt it on the '08s

jvalich,
Do you sleep on yours at times? Have you done anything to block the hatches?

Thanks Bill

We sleep on ours every weekend, and haven't had a problem. We generally keep the hatch at about a 45 degree angle.

I found out yesterday. The 2008 does come with covers.

Thanks Bill
