Wondering if anyone has experienced this. Running my 268 with both trim tabs up and all of a sudden boat will lurch to the left as if the left plate went down. If I twitch the wheel to the right it straightens out. Do not have a gage or anything just the individual tabs. From what I can tell it is not slowly dropping due to a leaking cylinder.
Any ideas? Is this one of those real fine adjustment type things on this boat? Don't dare bring it up to cruising speed as it wants to roll to the left.

Thanks

P.S. found the issue, operator error in adjusting, as the manual says you have to make small adjustments when you use them.

First off, what engine make and size do you have in it? Also if the boat lists to the left, that would possibly indicate there is a problem with the right tab, not left.

What conditions were you in when this occurred? if you were in following seas and the drive was trimmed all the way down, you could experience something like this. It would'nt necessarily list left, it could go either way, but if your boat is slightly heavier on the left, it could naturally go to the left , in that sort of scenario.

More info is needed.

Problem in the steering?
When you said it straightens right out when you twitch the steering to the right, makes me think it is steering, not trim tabs?

Oops my bad, it would be the right tab. Boat has the 5.7 fuel injected Volvo Penta motor dual prop. It usually does it on 1 to 2 ft waves or hitting other boaters chop. Only does it to the left with 2 persons in driver seats and one person seated by the back table. Pulling the boat this week for maintainance will check the plates to make sure both are working correctly
