| Post subject: | VHF Radio and Antenna Installation |
When I purchased my 2005 Vista 248 and it came with a Lowrance 850 marine radio, new in the box, never installed by previous owner. Any tips for install of the radio and antenna, e.g. panel access etc. New to this craft and looking for advice. Did a search with no luck. Thanks |

On my 258 there is a locker that is right at the foot of the captain's chair on the starboard sidewall that houses the VHF. That is probably the best spot to snake a wire to the fuse panel under the dash as well as an antenna cable to the outside of the boat. I would think it should be similar but mine is also older so not sure if that would make a difference. |
