So, having some issues with my DSM and MFD. I have a C-80 and a DSM 300. Has been determined they need to be sent in. But..in trouble shooting, noticed I have 2 transducers in the hull. The DSM is on an accessory switch on the dash, though I still get a correct depth reading with the DSM off. My main question is why 2 transducers? One says 20 degree tilt on it. Does one go directly to the C-80, and the other to the DSM? Pretty sure this was done stock, and not after the fact. Any insight anyone? Thanks! |

One is probably depth and temp. The other is the fish finder transducer, which can also do depth. I've got the depth/temp sensor in my 348, but the temp went bananas last winter. Depth still works and I don't need the temp bad enough to pull the boat to replace it. |

OK, gotcha. Yeah, my temp just started going haywire. Reading 30 degrees in the Potomac right now haha. Guess I will have it changed out next time we get pulled, probably not this winter, but next winter. |

Yup, mine started reading 130F over the previous winter. Then various randomness, like 17F this Spring. Now it just doesn't respond at all. I don't really miss it, but I will replace it the next time we pull the boat. |
