| Post subject: | Vacuflush Vacuum Leak |
My Vacuflush won't stop running, I'm looking for help on finding a leak in my Vacuflush system, I've changed the duckbills, the ball seal and tighted hoses. Are there any other seals I should replace? |

Several of us have had/still have this problem. If you search here, you'll find threads discussing this problem. I turn mine on & off when using. |

I've been turning mine on/off for several years as well, unfortunately I can't seem to train the wife to consistently hit the off button and our battery charge goes quick. |

We had a leak around the vacuum switch. Pulled it out and cleaned it very well. Coated it with 3M sealant (not the adhesive stuff) and put it back in place. Let it cure for 24 hours before turning the system on. Holds a great vacuum now. Steve 2001 298 Vista |

Yes...same set up. We replaced the pump & bellows as well as the switch. We had a slight leak around the pump body and replaced the gasket there. After, the system would hold pressure for about 3 or 4 minutes, then cycle again. We pulled the pressure switch, cleaned thoroughly and put a liberal coat of sealant on (again, not the adhesive stuff). Reinserted the switch and let it cure for 24 hours. Pressure now stays for days. Hope this helps. Steve |

Did you try the vegetable oil trick? Put about a 1/2 cup in and flush. I was using some harsh head deodorant the messed with all the rubber in the system and found this to work. |

I've read (but not tried) that you can put a bit of shaving cream on each joint - if that is the joint that is leaking, it will suck in the shaving cream. I also put dish soap in every once and a while (same idea as the oil I guess). |
