Good morning, I just sold my SR sundancer300 yesterday and want to downsize . We are looking at a 03 268 vista and am wondering if anyone has pulled a tube with there's ? If so where do you hook up the tow line ? I would love to hear all of your opinions about this boat also. it has the 5.7gi with DP DRIVE. Original owner with 103 hrs on the engine , 25,000 he wants for it
thanks,

You can pull a tube with it, but as you know it's not to practical to use a larger pocket cruiser to tube with.

As for the motor size, that was the standard power and can get marginal if you have alot of people. Still doable, I just learned to use the trim tabs every time to help get on plane, which helped considerably.

From what we sold ours for 3 years ago, that seems like a decent price, but I'm sure some others may have a better opinion that have been looking or recently purchased one.

We loved our 268, but got the itch to upsize.

Good luck with your decision.

I don't have a 268 but I have a 258 with the 300hp duo. Should be close in size and weight.
I have pulled tubes, have not done 2 person tubes yet but I did pull one adult which left 2 adults on board, full tank of water and fuel. I had no problems. Didn't even need the tabs. If you have a lot of people on board I could see issues. The only thing which is noticeable is that I moved up from a much smaller boat and this one is not as agile for obvious reasons.
There is a tow hook on the swim platform that you hook the line to(probably depends on years if it is there or not). I don't like the hook, the line can come off easy. I like the ones that have the ring that you loop around better.
Fuel usage seemed pretty good. I don't have numbers for that day since I did other cruising and my numbers didn't change to much from normal usage. I have been pleasantly surprised by fuel consumption probably because I am coming from a 2 stroke outboard.
Oh and we did not baby the boat. Especially when my brother-in-law was driving and i was on the tube. was a white knuckle ride for me...
